Lot Essay

This extraordinary bracelet watch impresses with its bold looks and extreme rarity. A most unusual design, the craftsmanship of late 1940s Patek Philippe is unmatched in this timepiece.

A marvelous example of the firms move towards creating functional ladies jewelry watches, this large and bold pink gold watch has remained timeless by even todays fashion.

With outstanding presence on the wrist, the articulated links wrap around the wrist perfectly, a detail that has to be felt as well as seen. Surprisingly, especially for its bold size, the bracelet is easy to wear, perfect for everyday use or a special occasion.

Exceptionally rare, according to research this is the only example of its kind to ever be identified and it has been consigned by the family of the original owner who acquired it in pre-revolution Cuba. In studying other concealed dial references by Patek Philippe, and their known production numbers, it is very possible this particular lot is a piece unique.
Accompanied by its Extract From the Archives, which indicates manufacture date as 1947 and the Sale Date as December 10th 1947 with “Rose Gold Bracelet” indicated.

To the best of our knowledge, the present timepiece is fresh to market.
