Born in 1950, Michel Parmigiani started his watchmaking education at Val-de-Travers school of watchmaking and the Technicum in La Chaux-de Fonds. Following, he would go on to study the specialization of restorative watchmaking, an incredibly complex aspect of Horological restoration and preservation.
As the quartz crisis raged during the 1970’s and 80s, Michel Parmigiani maintained his ideals of mechanical watchmaking and further embraced the fusion of mechanical artistry through his founding of “Mesure et art du Temps”. Monsieur Parmigiani would continue to gain international recognition for his ability to repair the most difficult historical complications as well as create complicated icons of the 21st century.
