Lot Essay

The present lot is one of ten copies which were printed in 1914 on parchment for private distribution. An alternate edition of 492 copies were printed on Japan paper. Another example of this limited edition is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (inv. no. 2011.431a-c).
