Lot Essay

The recipient of the painting is Ji Fang (1890-1987), a native of Haimen, Jiangsu Province. He served serval government roles, such as the vice chairman of the National Political Consultative Conference, the vice minister of the Ministry of Transportation, and the vice governor of Jiangsu Province.
