woodcut, 1510, on laid paper, watermark High Crown (M. 20), a fine, early impression of the first state (of two), before the removal of the horizontal hatching along Eve's spine, before the Latin text edition of 1511, printing a little dryly at centre and upper left, with narrow to thread margins, a tiny plugged hole on Adam's hair, a few tiny skilfully repaired nicks and splits, otherwise in good condition
