The design of the Black Tie is an important landmark in Piaget’s history. Back in the 1960s, Piaget was demonstrating incredible creativity, with unconventional case designs and materials. The brand’s expertise in high-end jewellery design was evident in the watches they made in that era. The present reference G0A42236 is a re-issue of the iconic 'Black Tie' model. It features the same cushion-shaped case, but this time in high-polished 18k pink gold. It is fairly large in size measuring 45 mm. wide, but pretty slim at just 7.6mm in height. The pink gold baton hands appear to be floating on the black matt dial. In a world of hyped, iconic watches, this Black Tie re-edition holds its own.
