Supremely elegant, this very rare limited edition black ceramic retrograde perpetual calendar is one of only 88 pieces produced.
The all-black minimalist aesthetic of the ceramic case and dial of the present watch immediately captures the attention, which is then drawn to the unusual perpetual calendar displays. The displays for the date and days of the week are retrograde, so that when the hand reaches the end of the month or week respectively, the hand instantaneously jumps back to the beginning. Being a perpetual calendar, the date function self-adjusts for the number of days in each month including leap-years. At 12 o’clock is a subsidiary dial for the months and a leap-year indication, and at 6 o’clock are the running seconds. The watch is powered by the Jaquet Droz caliber 5863, self-winding mechanical movement, which features double barrels and a 22-carat white gold oscillating weight with black PVD finish.
