Tasting note for the Latour 1968: A very nice half bottle. Fine nose, a touch of warm fruit followed by good energy on the nose. Fresh vanilla, beetroot, refined currant aroma on the finish. Spicy note from the cask aging still present, yet well integrated. Fine fresh acidity leading to an elegant mid palate. Remarkable 55-year-old half. A glass of refinement, a true Latour in an elegant setting. Very well aged. August 2023. EV.
