The present Octa Automatique Réserve belongs to the extremely rare Boutique Collection, only available in F.P. Journe boutiques. These editions are recognized by their extremely attractive combination of black dial and 18k pink gold case. Presented in very good overall condition, the timepiece is offered with the full set of accessories.
A prize catch for both F.P. Journe collectors and connoisseurs of independent haute horology alike, the present Octa Automatique Réserve combines incredible good looks, technical virtuosity and great exclusivity.
Octa Automatique Réserve
The Octa Automatique Réserve model, as with all F.P. Journe timepieces, combines aesthetic beauty with high precision. The dial features Journe's patented large date display, power reserve and bears F.P. Journe’s signature and the Latin inscription ‘Invenit et Fecit’ (invented and made). The 18K rose gold Journe caliber 1300.3 automatic movement has an off-centre 22 carat gold rotor. It was the first automatic movement to provide 120 hours of power reserve.
The name ‘Octa’ was given as a prefix to all F.P. Journe’s automatic watches because in Latin it means ‘eight’ and the figure ‘8’ on its side signifies the concept of limitlessness or infinity.
