Lot Essay

In 2012, commemorating the 40th anniversary of the iconic Royal Oak, Audemars Piguet unveiled the reference 15203 in platinum. This masterpiece was a limited edition, with only 40 pieces made. Following this, in 2014, the brand introduced the splendid reference 15204OR in pink gold. While not officially a limited edition, this version was produced in limited quantities, making it a coveted piece among connoisseurs.

Although Audemars Piguet has produced some of the finest skeletonized watches throughout its history, a skeletonized version of the Royal Oak always stands out. Beyond its technical characteristics, the watch's visual and tactile aspects are equally captivating.
