Patek Philippe’s Nautilus is perhaps the most desired model of all the company’s production wristwatches, indeed it is one of the ultimate luxury status symbols in the world. Every Nautilus wristwatch of every reference is incredibly prized, however, even in the rarefied realm of the Nautilus family there are those extra special models that are beyond desirable, inhabiting the stratosphere of luxury watchmaking.
Reference 5722G is the spectacular jewelled sibling of the ultra-desirable reference 5712, the triple complication Nautilus featuring a power reserve indicator, date and moon phases that was launched in 2006 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Patek Philippe’s first luxury sports watch. Now discontinued, the present reference 5722G was only produced for a very short time from 2008 until around 2010. The bezel is set with 32 flawless Top Wesselton baguette-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 5.90 carats, each stone is specially cut to shape in order to follow the contours of the Nautilus bezel perfectly. The overall combination of white gold case coupled with the blue-grey dial and scintillating baguette diamonds is simply breathtaking. Reference 5722G is powered by the Cal. 240 PS IRM C LU movement which shows an exceptional standard of finishing visible through the display back.
