Virtual tour | Photographies and Handbags Online: The Paris Edit

Starting 4 November, come and discover the exhibitions in Paris of two online sales: Photographies and Handbags Online: The Paris Edit. Christie’s will display a curated selection of the rarest handbags and accessories alongside photographies from Circles, The Collection of Joanna Vestey and works from significant photographers of the 20th century.

Christie’s Photographs department is pleased to present its fall sale, an online auction open for bidding until 8 November 2022. Highlights of the sale include works from the 20th and 21st centuries’ leading practitioners of the medium including Man Ray, Irving Penn, Helmut Newton and Richard Avedon are displayed from 4 to 8 November. Also in the sale, discover Circles – fifty photographs from British photographer Joanna Vestey’s Collection gathered around the figure of the circle – featuring property by Edward Steichen, Adam Fuss, John Baldessari and Sarah Moon.

In parallel, Handbags Online: The Paris Edit is offering a curated selection of the most rare, desirable and sought-after handbags and accessories. The sale is live for online bidding until 17 November 2022. Pieces from Hermès, Chanel, Dior and more iconic figures of the fashion world will be presented. The auction is introducing for the first time at auction an exceptional matte white Niloticus Crocodile Himalaya Sellier Kelly 25 with Palladium Hardware from 2022. This Sellier version is the newest interpretation of the iconic Himalaya Kelly, reimagining the most collectible Himalaya Collection. Last but not least, pieces of The So Black Collection designed by Jean Paul Gaultier will be part of this online sale.
