Lucien Pissarro painted in Bazincourt-sur-Epte near Rouen in Normandy on several occasions. His father, Camille Pissarro, had also painted there in 1892. Both father and son captured the open countryside of the region, and in Vue des Coteaux de Bazincourt, Lucien Pissarro has painted the houses that sit in the divide between the valley. He has captured the warmth of the sun in his colouring of the field and trees.
