The thistle-shaped octagonal body with convex lower band of repoussé foliate scrolls, the upper panels with stylized flowers alternately set with cabochon rubies and sapphires, the inside of the base enamelled in in blue with the name 'WLADIMIR' beneath the Imperial crown, marked under base
