We are grateful to Dr. Hans Vlieghe for confirming the attribution on the basis of photographs.

After training under his brother in Antwerp, Teniers travelled to Rome in circa 1600, where he remained for five years. On his return to Antwerp in circa 1605, Teniers became a Master in the Guild of St. Luke and executed a number of altarpieces, between circa 1615 and 1620, for churches in Eastern Flanders.
