linocut in colors, 1910, on Japon, a delicate, colorful impression, signed in pencil, from the edition of unknown, but presumably small size (there were also single-color impressions), with wide margins, light-, mat and time staining, a few pale foxmarks (primarily in the margins), a few skillfully repaired tears and minor losses at the sheet edges, otherwise in good condition

Max Weber combined his admiration for the bright colors of Matisse, Cubism's fractured forms and the techniques of primitive art in these small, vibrant relief prints. He applied ink to the wood or linoleum with his fingertips and then used the pressure of his foot to print each unique impression.
