Lot Essay

Although acquired direct from Maison Jansen, this console closely recalls the work of Serge Roche (1898-1988), who executed similar palm table supports from 1936 (Bruno Foucart and Jean-Louis Gaillemin, Les Décorateurs des années 40, Paris, 1996, p. 239).
