Oedipe I
signed, numbered and inscribed with the foundry mark 'max Ernst E.A. 1/3 Susse Fondeur Paris' (on the side of the base)
bronze with green and brown patina
Height: 24 in. (61 cm.)
Conceived in 1934 and cast in bronze from 1960 in an edition of seven plus three épreuves d'artiste; this work cast between June and October 1975
