According to the Archives of Vacheron Constantin, the present watch was manufactured in 1952.
This watch is one of the exceedingly rare examples of reference 4775 to appear in public to date. In production during a short period in the early 1950s, only a very small series of this model was made, the majority cased in yellow gold, few examples in pink gold and platinum. With its unusual and elaborate shape, reference 4775 is amongst the most beautiful rectangular wristwatches ever designed by Vacheron Constantin and considered one of the most attractive vintage watches of the 20th century.
