Gilt-finished three quarter plate jewelled lever movement, gilt Bonniksen-type karrusel carriage, bimetallic compensation balance, gold cuvette with engraved inscription John Burnham A Jubilee Gift from his loving Wife and Children, 26th January 1899, white enamel dial, Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, plain circular case, inlaid blue enamel Roman numerals to the glazed aperture in the front, engraved initials JB to the hinged back, case and cuvette stamped with casemaker's initials PW, London date letter for 1897, casemaker's initials LC for Louis Comtesse and numbered, dial signed, movement signed and numbered
