Joost Baljeu (1925-1991)
From the property of Kho Liang Ie (1927-1975) Industrial designer Kho Liang Ie played a vital role in the coorporation between industry and designers in the Netherlands in the period 1955 and 1975. Not only through his famous models and designs, but also through his influence on the (design)policy in several Dutch industries. As a designer he was of priceless value to the furniture industries of Artifort in Maastricht and CAR in Katwijk. His international reputation led to the commission of the interior design of Schiphol airport in 1962.
