Figures in a valley landscape at dawn

We are grateful to Marijke de Kinkelder of the RKD in the Hague, for confirming the attribution to Frederik de Moucheron, on the basis of photographs (private communication, 8 December 2010). She points out that the figures are painted by Adriaen van de Velde and suggests a date of 1672.
