Lot Essay

It is thought that each member of the French National Football Team winning the 1998 Football World Cup received a Breguet Type XX wristwatch engraved with the inscription Champion du Monde 1998 and the presentee's name. The present watch bears the name of Lionel Charbonnier, the third goal keeper of the victorious team.
