Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present green lacquered desk clock, applied indexes in gilt brass and plate with engraved commemorative text in 1974 and its subsequent sale on 13 August 1974.

To the best of our knowledge, this table clock has never been offered in public before. It is part of a small series of such photo-electric timepieces with sides and dials painted in different colours to resemble semi-precious stones, such as jadeite.

The present clock was to Mrs. Georgette Favrod for 24 years of faithful service at Patek Philippe.
