On warm Sunday Evenings we walked in the Park
signed with a fly (lower left), signed again, inscribed and dated 'On warm Sunday Evenings we walked in the Park,/Father wore his Best Tall Hat and Frock Coat while/Mother and the Aunts their Sunday Best. Grandma/brought out her Beaded Alpaca Cape, and we/generally ended our walk at The Tea Rooms, where/we met Miss Carter (who wore Pink) and Mr Taylor (the/Bank Manager). There was also Miss Hope Ainsworth/with her son & daughter, (Bertie & Mollie) She was watching/Aunt Charlotte and The New Curate (Albert), who/was holding her hand rather longer than necessary,/"good gracious, just look at him", she said, but/we had to forego our cups of cocoa, because/George had climbed the dirty black cannon &/was so black Father was angry and sent George &/I with Mother home in a cab, which made us miss going/to Grandma's and the year was 1906./Helen Layfield Bradley 1970' (on a label attached to the reverse)
