The present work belongs to a series of surrealistic works executed between 1936-1938, during Hayter's travels through Europe with the Canadian artist Dalla Husband.
We are very grateful to Pierre-François Albert for his assistance cataloguing this work. Pierre-François Albert is currently working on a forthcoming book on Hayter, to be published by Gourcuff Gradenigo Editions at the end of this year. The present work will be included in his book.
