The beautifully engineered movement composed of 233 hand-finished parts requires absolutely no lubrication and is an achievement on its own without the use of any advanced materials such as silicon. One of the technical attractions is the dead beat second complication. Instead of continuously sweeping, the second hand stops at each seconds mark before jumping to the next one, performing exactly like the hands of an analogue quartz watch.
Another interesting feature is the high efficiency of the movement. The energy is transmitted directly from the escapement to the balance instead of going through the lever, only absorbing fifty percent of the energy in comparison to a standard lever escapement that absorbs seventy percent of the energy. In addition, the movement also offers the wearer seven days power reserve.
