Lot Essay

This shirt Alan Lancaster wore on numerous occasions on stage while performing with Status Quo. It was Lancaster's main stage shirt from the mid 1970s until the 1980s. In the accompanying letter he writes We (the band) were very attached to our stage-shirts and jeans, wearing them to death; dreading the thought of having to find suitable replacements. Instead he would patch up any wear and tear that occurred.
