The painter and fashion illustrator Etienne Drian was extremely active during the 1920s, Close friend of Jean Gabriel Domergue, he depicted the parisian woman of his time. He worked with Paul Poiret and, circulating in the Paris fashion milieu of the 1930s, became acquainted with Gabrielle Chanel. He was to produce numerous portraits and illustrations, reflecting the sophisticated and elegant style of the period, many of which were published in the journals 'Fémina' and 'La Gazette du Bon Temps'.

Artiste et illustrateur de mode, Étienne Drian sera très actif entre 1920 et 1930. Ami intime de Jean Gabriel Domergue, il peint la Parisienne de son temps. Il collabore avec Paul Poiret et évolue dans le Paris de la mode des années 30, où il rencontre Gabrielle Chanel. Il réalise de nombreux portraits et illustrations, notamment pour les revues Fémina et La Gazette du Bon Temps, reflets de cette époque éminemment élégante et sophistiquée
