Peter Henric Beurling (1763-1806) had a large workshop in Stockholm which was continued by his widow until 1830.
The design of the wooden case is a direct copy after the well-known French ormolu cases. The drawing for this particular design is signed Michel and dated August 1808 and can be found in the Bibliothèque National in Paris. An ormolu case can be found in P. Kjellberg, La Pendule Francaise, Paris, 1997, p. 342, no. A.
