Lot Essay

Accompanied by an F.P. Journe Certificate of Authenticity Card dated March 9th, 2006, wooden presentation box, product literature and outer packaging.

The Tourbillon Souverain, another of F.P. Journe's horologic masterworks, is distinguished by its complications combining a one minute tourbillon with a remontoir. The remontoir provides a constant force to the balance, hence maintaining an equal rate of force whether the watch is fully wound or not and increasing the precision. In the second generation of the Tourbillon Souverain, such as the present lot, F.P. Journe added a dead beat second indication.
