Square, enameled in translucent ruby over a wavy guilloché ground, centering a square aperture within a seed-pearl border, enclosing a later photograph of Grand Duchess Tatiana Nikolaevna (1897-1918), the outer border cast with stiff-leaf tips, the mammoth ivory backing with scroll strut and suspension loop, marked on lower edge and strut
