Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with sunburst silvered dial and white gold indexes in 1974 and its subsequent sale on 30 January 1976.

This watch has never been offered at auction before. Made in stainless steel only, less than ten examples of reference 3579/1 have appeared in public to date.

Reference 3579 was in production from 1972 until the mid 1970s and available with dark blue or silvered dials.
