With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1961 and its subsequent sale on 22 December 1961. The Extract further confirms the presence of 26 diamonds with a total weight of 1.99ct.
To the best of our knowledge, the present "Ricochet" watch is one of only three examples of a reference 3424/1 in platinum known to appear in public to date. This highly attractive specimen furthermore combines an array of features enhancing its appeal to the discerning collector, including the beautifully raised black hard enamel sector lines on the charismatic silvered-coloured dial, the sharp lines of the full case revealing that it has not been subject to careless polishing and last but not least the baguette-cut diamond setting to the sides that confers the watch a very elegant look.
