Cal. 14''' mechanical movement, 17 jewels, silvered dial, raised gold dagger and Arabic numerals, outer black Arabic five minute divisions, red telemetre and blue tachymetre scales, two engine-turned subsidiary dials for constant seconds and 30 minutes register, large circular case, flat bezel, snap on back, two oval chronograph buttons in the band, stainless steel Rolex bracelet, case, dial and movement signed

With period Rolex fitted green presentation box.

The present watch is an example of the rare Rolex reference 2508, which was introduced in the 1930s and was the company's first chronograph wristwatch with two registers and two buttons. The first generation, to which this watch belongs, featured oval chronograph buttons, while later generations were fitted with rectangular buttons.

Different versions of reference 2508 are described and illustrated in I Cronografi Rolex - La Leggenda, Pucci Papaleo Editore, pp. 80-91.
