"Pour Lindström, l'anatomie du tableau est à sa chair ce que le paysage est à la terre, à l'odeur qui monte de la terre et qui dans la mémoire la rend présente. Corps-paysage, chair-terre, le geste qui peint est exilé et c'est à partir du corps qu'il cherche cette chair invisible, indicible, à partir du paysage de ce corps qu'il crie afin d'être au plus près de ce paysage. 'For Lindström, the anatomical subject of the painting is to flesh what the landscape is to earth, to the odour emanating from the earth and which, in the memory, makes it present. Body-landscape, flesh-earth, the painting action is banished and it is using the body that he seeks out that invisible, inexpressible flesh, using the landscape of that body that he cries out, in order to be as close as possible to that landscape.
