Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 2001 and its subsequent sale on March 19th of the same year. Further accompanied by an undated Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin, and Patek Philippe Attestation stating that the present watch has been specially manufactured in 2000 to mark Patek Philippe's entry into the third millennium. Also with a Patek Philippe commemorative coin, Patek Philippe year 2000 presentation box, sealed tie tag, and outer packaging.

Reference 5100, Patek Philippe's first model featuring a ten day power reserve, was launched in 2000 to celebrate the new millennium.

3,000 examples were made, including 1,500 in yellow gold, 750 in pink gold, 450 in white gold, and 300 in platinum. The tools for producing the cases will never be used again, thus making the present watch a rare opportunity for a collector to add a limited edition watch in the most exclusive of metals to their collection.
