‘I like the idea of slightly reversing the trend of imposing cultural tastes onto the public and instead bringing a bit of that down to earth logic into Art. I think the use of humour is simply a way of relating to things in general, each other and Art... Humour can be a very effective and economic way of communicating ideas, acting as a subtle way of inspiring the viewer to voluntarily think about a something they might not have. Jokes can sort of lead you down a road, perhaps to something more profound in a gentle and productive manner.’ (D.
