Lot Essay

With Omega Extract of the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1936 and its delivery to Switzerland on 12 July 1936.
The Marine model is Omega's first diver's watch, launched in 1932 and consisting of a removable double case with a snap-lever fastening.

The model is illustrated in Omega Watches by John Goldberger, p. 31 and in Omega A Journey through Time by Marco Richon, p. 321.
