Lot Essay

This painting was dedicated to Wang Sishu, daughter of Wang Liankui (1905-1996). Born in Sichuan province, Wang Liankui was an established member of the Kuomintang, and held the position of Director for the Municipal Government General Services Department and Defense Department in Chongqing. He later moved to Taiwan and became a member of the National Assembly of Taiwan.
