Baluster form, on a lobed shaped circular bases and everted shaped spouts, each decorated with fluid leaves and waves, one chased with Poseidon holding his trident and with cast merman-form handle, the other with a mermaid holding a clamshell with pearls and with cast mermaid-form handle, marked under bases, also marked YIU and YKY respectively

According to Larry Pristo in Martele: Gorham’s Art Nouveau Silver, 2002, these ewers were each chased by David Wilmot, Gorham’s master chaser, at a net cost of $300.
