This lot is a very attractive example of Omega production from the first half of the past century. The dial has aged with a light patina which underlines its originality and amplifies the charm of its five sectors geometry, reminiscent of Art Deco pieces, and of its three-tone design: the alternated white and pink of the sectors, and the darker shade of white of the subsidiary dial. The appeal of this timepiece is further boosted by an intriguing mystery about its case construction: the soldered bars are typical of a military timepiece, but the dial design is quite far from the usual military style. The reason behind this unusual combination will probably forever remain shrouded in mystery.
