Decorated in gold, silver and black hiramaki-e and takamaki-e and carved red lacquer on a dark brown ground with a caparisoned elephant and two Chinese children, the details of the elephant carved and incised, eyes inlaid in glass, attached silver ojime of an elephant, nashiji interiors and risers, fundame rims
