Lot Essay

With Vacheron Constantin Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 2007.

The present example illustrates perfectly Vacheron Constantin’s talent to infuse new meaning into its heritage pieces and its commitment to unite all the different skills of fine watchmaking. The cushion shaped case is reminiscent of Vacheron Constantin’s avant-garde watch produced for the American market in 1921. The superb skeletonized movement is a historic speciality of the brand, which in 1924 introduced a skeleton movement that was only 2mm thick. The skill of gem-setters is showcased in the dazzling diamond-set bezel.
