In The Guardian Simon Hattenstone recounted Salgado's photographic journey to Antarctica:
They sailed for days on end, looking for the great sculpted icebergs Salgado had heard about. When he found one that looked like a turreted medieval castle, he realized his visit had been worthwhile.
