signed 'A. Rodin.' (on top of the base) and inscribed with the foundry mark 'Alexis. Rudier. Fondeur. Paris.' (on the back of the base); signed with the raised signature 'A. Rodin' (inside).

Conceived circa 1889-1891; this bronze probably cast circa 1910

Acquired by the grandfather of the present owner.
