Lot Essay

Born of Chopard's masterful blend of High Watchmaking and High Jewellery, the exceptional L.U.C Tourbillon Baguette watch houses the chronometer-certified L.U.C 1.02 tourbillon movement bearing the prestigious Poinçon de Genève quality hallmark. Set with 358 sparkling diamonds, this 25-piece limited-edition series is a breathtaking work of art.

Consigned by the original owner and offered in exceptional, almost new condition, this scintillating and ravishing icy beauty of 42 mm. diameter is set with 358 diamonds - 99 diamonds of 7.08 carats on the white gold dial, 4.84 carats of baguette diamonds and 3.08 carats of brilliant-cut diamonds adding up to an impressive diamond weight of 15.07 carats. A breathtaking and dazzling jewel, it is endowed with the technically highly sophisticated L.U.C 1.02 four barrel calibre movement with a COSC chronometer rating providing a power reserve of more than 9 days, which is displayed at the top of the dial. The one-minute tourbillon is also displayed through the dial. This exceptional watch is perfectly complemented by the white gold and diamond-set Chopard buckle made to match and retains the original certificate and accessories.

The L.U.C. (for Louis-Ulysse Chopard, the founder of the company) 4 barrel caliber 1.02 movement provides a 9 day power reserve. It bears the Poinçon de Genève seal and is also COSC-certified – an accomplishment achieved by only three other tourbillon manufacturers.
