Lot Essay

The Arabic radial five minutes divisions Daytona 116519 is one of the rarest variations of the model – and one of the rarest Rolex timepieces overall – to be released on the market. It is known in three variations: blue sodalite, yellow mother-of-pearl and pink mother-of-pearl.

Rolex is proud to offer in the same sale – a worldwide first - all three variations of this rare dial, with this lot being the last of the three: the pink mother-of-pearl.

Of the three, this is the more understated iteration: the pink hue of the mother of pearl is an elegant touch which has the added benefit of being much more rare than the standard white version: it is estimated that for ten units of white mother of pearl, only one unit of the pink variety is produced.
