"Nel mio lavoro certamente i materiali sono molto importanti. Essi, per me, sono strettamente legati all’idea, anzi sono corpo e logica dell’idea. Ai materiali fisici aggiungo dei materiali “non fisici”: lo spazio, la luce e l’ombra, il vuoto e il pieno, il colore delle materie, un disegno ampio, statico, silenzioso, essenziale, sempre posto in primo piano, che mai contempla la decorazione o il racconto".

"In my work, the materials are certainly extremely important. For me, they are closely tied to the idea, in fact they are the body and logic of the idea. To the physical materials, I add "non-physical" ones: space, light, shade, emptiness and fullness, the colour of the material, an extensive drawing, still, silent, essential, always placed in the foreground, which never makes concession to decoration or narrative".
