In 1894 Eerelman travelled to London to watch the famous Western-show from the American cowboy Buffalo Bill, who travelled around the world from 1883 onwards with his show Buffalo Bill’s Wild West. Following his trip Eerelman made a series of works depicting Western scenes with Buffalo Bill.
